LINX Device to Treat GERD

The LINX® device is designed to treat patients with severe heartburn or acid reflux, also known as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Matthew Burruss, MD, performs this special procedure, which is done laparoscopically using a camera and tools that are placed through five small incisions. This helps minimize the recovery time and risks to the patient. The procedure generally lasts between 30-45 minutes and patients can often resume a normal diet that same night.
